Library Policies

  • Annual membership fees apply. To apply, click this.
  • Each library card is issued to an individual and is for the cardholder’s use only. It must be presented to access the account, with special situations considered on a case-by-case basis.
Library spaces and services, including Wi-Fi, are primarily intended to support reading, research, and engagement with library resources rather than general internet use or co-working.
  • Please remember that library materials are for the borrower’s use only. If someone else would like the item, it should be returned first and then checked out on their own library card.
Members may borrow up to five items at a time. Books: 2 weeks; films, tapes, and magazines: 3 days–2 weeks. Reference and In-Library Use Only materials cannot be checked out.
  • Books and films may be renewed once—online (https://opac.ucmlibrary.com/), by phone, e-mail, or in person—on or before the due date, provided they are not reserved by another member.
  • To avoid fines and fees, please return the
materials on time and in good condition.
Fines begin on the first day an item is overdue:
    – P2.00 per day per book/magazine
    – P10.00 per day per film/tape
  • Overdue materials or fines may result in restricted borrowing privileges:
Fine for lost “Date Due Card” is P15.00 per card. Replacement for lost ID is P50.00.
  • Out-of-hours book return can be done by
depositing books (with member identification) in the book drop box located at the Library entrance.
  • If a book is deemed unsuitable, please complete an evaluation form and return it to the Librarian for review.
  • Please ensure children are always accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the library.
